Cookie Policy
A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. causalIT uses as few as possible, and none for advertising. This page lists them — on causalit.fr and in the application — and explains what happens on the websites measured with causalIT.
Cookies set by causalit.fr
| Name | Purpose | Set when | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
| causalit_session | Keeps you signed in (strictly necessary) | You log in | 30 days, or until you log out |
| locale | Remembers the language you chose | You switch language | 12 months |
| causalit_theme | Remembers the light / dark / auto theme | You toggle the theme in the application | 12 months |
| causalit_consent | Records your choice about optional third-party services | Only if such a service is active and you make a choice | 12 months |
These cookies are first-party, sent only to causalit.fr, and carry no advertising identifier. The first three are exempt from consent: the session cookie is strictly necessary, the other two are set only at your explicit request (choosing a language or a theme).
Third-party services
No advertising, social or third-party analytics cookie is placed on causalit.fr today. We measure the use of our own site with causalIT, in its cookieless mode. Should we activate an optional third-party service one day, it would load only after you consent in a banner, you could change your mind at any time, and a Global Privacy Control signal sent by your browser would be honoured as a refusal.
On websites measured with causalIT
The causalIT tag does not read or write any cookie, local storage or other identifier on your device. Visitors are counted with a daily, non-reversible identifier computed on our servers, which is why sites using the default mode need no consent banner for the measurement. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Some of our customers also use the optional consent module we provide to manage their own third-party services; the cookie it sets on their site stores the visitor's choices and is under that site's responsibility.
Managing cookies
Logging out deletes the session cookie. Your browser lets you view, block and delete cookies for any site; blocking the session cookie will prevent you from signing in.
This policy is issued by FI-DATA, publisher of causalIT (see the legal notice). Questions: contact@causalit.fr.
